Course Objectives: - On-Camera Experience: Students will have the opportunity to act in front of the camera from day one, developing comfort and confidence in performing within a cinematic context. - Practical Film Projects: Students will engage in over 16 film projects throughout the course, allowing them to apply learned techniques in real-world scenarios and gain hands-on experience in various acting roles. - Show Reel Development: By the end of the course, students will compile a professional show reel showcasing their performances across multiple projects, demonstrating their range and skill as actors. - Character Development: Students will learn to create and develop multidimensional characters through scene study, improvisation, and script analysis, enhancing their ability to portray diverse roles effectively. - Collaboration Skills: Students will collaborate with peers in acting, directing, and technical roles, fostering teamwork and communication skills essential for success in the film industry. - Basic Video Editing: Students will gain foundational skills in video editing, enabling them to understand the post-production process and its impact on performance and storytelling. - Cinematography Basics: Students will learn basic cinematography principles, including shot composition, lighting techniques, and framing, to better understand how their performances fit within visual storytelling. - Feedback and Reflection: Students will receive constructive feedback on their performances.
